Beachcomber Place is a small, newer neighborhood developed on the marsh off of Folly Road. The convenient location is three miles from Folly Beach and less than five miles from the James Island connector, which provides access to downtown Charleston, West Ashley and beyond.
Beachcomber Place real estate was built around 2005, and most homes are more than 3,000 square feet and include amenities, such as spacious porches with marsh views and 10-foot ceilings. Cul-de-sac neighborhood streets include Needlegrass Lane and Clubview Court, and most Beachcomber Place real estate runs around $250,000–$500,000 — an excellent price for large, newer homes so close to the beach.
The closest grocery store is a massive Piggly-Wiggly less than a half mile away. Also close by are Gold’s Gym and several small eateries, including the famed Bowens Island seafood restaurant.
