Located off Dills Bluff Road, the Clarks Point neighborhood is an older waterfront community featuring many homes with deepwater access and docks. True to its Clarks Point name, the community is surrounded on three sides by marsh and tidal creeks.
Clarks Point real estate prices range from $175,000 to $675,000 depending on size and whether or not they are waterfront or not. Most homes were built in the 1960s and 1970, but some newer homes built in the 1980s and 1990s can also be found.
The Dills Bluff location is a good central point on the island. Turning left out of Clarks Point will take you to Harbor View Road, which leads to a Publix, a Piggly-Wiggly, a gas station, bank facilities and the James Island connector, which accesses downtown Charleston, West Ashley and beyond. Turning right out of Clarks Point takes you to Camp Road, which leads to several small, delicious restaurants and the public library.
