The other golf course community on James Island is Country Club II. Also located on the grounds of the Charleston Country Club, the Country Club II neighborhood is south of Country Club I. Adjacent to Folly Road, the James Island connector and Harbor View Road, Country Club II is infinitely accessible. Country Club II real estate was mostly built in the 1960s, and even though they are older, most of the homes have been updated and remodeled into luxury living spaces. Some new constructions have also popped up where brick ranches once stood.
Prices for Country Club II real estate range from $450,000 to more than $1 million, depending on amenities, size and proximity to the golf course. There is no waterfront property in Country Club II, but the well-maintained homes, immaculate yards and quiet streets make the area highly desirable.
Nearby amenities include a Harris Teeter and a Publix grocery store, numerous banks, the public Harbor View Elementary School, the post office, and a movie theater, plus doctors’ offices catering to many needs. Downtown Charleston is accessible by taking Harbor View Road to the James Island connector, a Folly beach can be reached via Folly Road, or — if you prefer the scenic route — by taking back roads that include North Shore Drive/Dills Bluff Road, Fort Johnson Road and Seccessionville Road.
