Located off Woodland Shores Road, the Island Shores community is a new development with around two dozen lots. Only a handful of homes have been developed as of 2012. Lots are priced at around $58,000 for a third of an acre. Built-out Island Bluff real estate measures in excess of 3,000 square feet and is priced at around $450,000 to $650,000. Neighborhood Streets include Sunstone Court and Rainsong Drive.
The community is in the northwest section of the island near the municipal golf course, the James Island County Park and Maybank Highway, which accesses John’s Island and other sea islands. Publix is the closest grocery store to the area and is only a couple of miles away. Although not in the same shopping center, the CVS pharmacy is also only a few miles from Island Shores, and a Piggly Wiggly, several eateries and a dry cleaners share this complex. Also close by on Wappoo Creek Drive are doctors offices and a bank.
